Operating range –20 to +55 °C for cabinets, –30 to +60 °C for containers. These aren't values at the limit — this is what you expect when the system is supposed to run 15+ years.

Frequently asked about commercial storage
What size fits my business?
Rule of thumb: 2 kWh of storage per 1 kW of peak power for peak shaving, plus 80 % of daily consumption if you want to optimise self-consumption. Our configurator calculates this for you — the final sizing we do with your 15-minute load profile.
How many cycles do the batteries last, and what's the warranty?
LFP cells deliver ~6,000 cycles at 80 % state of health — at typical use (one full cycle per day) that's 15 – 20 years. Product warranty 2 – 10 years depending on project and system size. Calendar system life 20 – 30 years with yearly maintenance.
What's the difference between AC- and DC-coupled?
AC coupling: dedicated inverter on the BESS, independent of the PV. DC coupling: PV and BESS share an inverter — slightly fewer conversion losses, but only worthwhile when PV and BESS are planned together. When retrofitting onto existing PV we almost always go AC.
Which certifications does the system have?
CE, UN38.3 (transport), IEC 61000 (EMC), VDE-AR-N 4105 / EN 50549 (grid connection), RoHS, ISO 9001. Fire suppression as standard via aerosol (no water). For Swiss-specific certifications — VKF fire protection, SEV/ESTI inspection, cantonal permits — we coordinate the full project dossier.
How loud is an outdoor installation?
Below 70 dB(A) at 1 m distance — the typical range for cabinets and containers with liquid cooling. For sensitive sites (near residential areas) we run an acoustic forecast before the quote, incl. compliance with cantonal noise regulations.
How long does delivery and the project take?
From load-profile analysis to commissioning we plan 4 – 6 months. Lead time from order: cabinets 4 – 6 weeks, containers 8 – 12 weeks. The grid connection is usually the longer path — we start the utility conversation early.
Who handles service — Bergler or Renepoly?
Installation, commissioning and first-line escalation are handled by Bergler directly in Switzerland. Renepoly provides 24/7 remote support and, if needed, on-site intervention via their European affiliate. Annual maintenance (glycol, BMS firmware, seals, filters) recommended and available as a service contract — typically 1 – 2 % of the hardware price per year.
